MAKE FRIENDS WITH YOUR SERGER.  We are repeating this popular series of three classes that will make you love your serger again!  In the first class, Linda will have you threading your machine with confidence and becoming familiar with a variety of stitches.  In the second class, you will construct a pair of knit leggings or pants as you learn to maintain seam allowances and serge curved seams.  In the final class, you will learn the popular 3-thread rolled hem as you make napkins or finish ruffles for a garment.  You will need to be sure your machine is designed for this!  Take one class or all three.  We promise you will love your serger after taking these classes!

HEIRLOOM (OR NOT!) PINAFORE.  We found this pinafore in Australian Smocking & Embroidery Magazine, one of our favorite publications.  It is so versatile that it can be made heirloom or fun and funky.  You can choose to smock or not, add lace or not, use heirloom fabric or fun spring cottons.  Jeanne made her heirloom version with smocking and lace in ivory satin batiste.  It will be worn over a beautiful ivory damask yoke dress.  Her more contemporary version can be worn by itself with leggings or pants.  Or put it over a yoke dress that you can learn to make in Jeanne’s “Our Favorite Yoke Dress” Class described below.  Choose which version you want to make and come to class prepared for fun!

OUR FAVORITE YOKE DRESS!  It doesn’t matter how many times we teach this dress, the class is always full!  If you want to learn Jeanne’s secrets for making perfect collars, sleeves, and skirt plackets, this class is for you.  We use Trudy Horne’s Yoke Dress pattern (sizes 1 to 8) that comes with many options.  Select some of our new spring fabrics and get an early start on Easter.  Or just make a cute new spring dress for your favorite little girl.  Jeanne is teaching this class in three 2½-hour sessions.
